I would actually applaud this guy if he, in these days of social media, kept four major schools' fanbases wondering if he was coming there, only to head to Europe for a year

If I'm a Top 5 recruit no matter where I go there's no way I'm signing a LOI. Even lower than that if I know I can get a program to take me without one. Just because of what you get tied into for a year beyond just signing scholarship papers and even with some of these top programs you never know what can happen with coaches (i.e. NBA jobs, other college jobs, etc). DeAndre Jordan when Gillispie left for UK is a good example. He attempted to get out of his LOI at A&M and wasn't able to.
I agree though. There's only a handful who could probably pull it off.

Obviously what I would do, too. But, his first NBA contract will set him up for life (more than likely).

All depends on the person I suppose. And what Euro team wants you. If I'm a big man and I have no issue with living overseas it'd be the perfect way to add another dimension to your game with the way Euros typically play in the post.

Rumors are starting to swirl that Wiggins could announce tomorrow, and is likely going to pick UNC. 
FWIW, those rumors said that he was wanting UK, but Dad and brother talked him in to UNC... we shall see.

Brandon Jennings went the Euro route because he couldn't get himself qualified.

See, he did come out as saying it would "surprise" everyone, and at this point Kentucky doesn't seem like a surprising pick at all, and everyone has known his connections to FSU for awhile considering both his parents are alums. So that pretty much leaves KU or UNC I guess?
UNC is a great fit considering that have a starting spot PERFECT for his position and an experienced team to complement his play. Roy Williams is also known to teach guys the game of basketball pretty daggum well.
Im a UNC homer though, so I hope he picks UNC, but I was pretty much ruling it out for awhile because it has all been so hush-hush.
I def think its not UK anymore just because it seems too obvious, but that's just a gut feeling, nothing more.

At this point anyone who says they know don't have a clue (not directed at anyone in this thread since I think we're all speculating). I'd be shocked if it's outside of FSU/UK/UNC. Watch him pick someone out of nowhere.
He'd be a fantastic piece to the puzzle with what we have coming in but I think we're good even without him with WCS/Poythress returning.

Normally the tweety birds can at least help lead you to believe something, but with how this recruitment has gone, I think any rumor is just someone making something up

Dave Telep basically said it was either FSU or Kentucky on KSR yesterday. Matt Jones source (Wiggins HS Coach at Huntington Prep) basically said UNC is out.
