Super young team with a ton of talent. Hamilton can do two things well: recruit and coach defense.

Wiggins wouldn't be able to turn a team like Auburn or State into a contender was my point (as awesome as he is). But a mid tier team he certainly could.

I don't know the personnel issues at Auburn, but we'd be dancing in march if we got Wiggins this year. Not a title contender, but few teams would be next year just due to how talented UK will be next year. You're underestimating how good Wiggins are and how much better we'll be next year. Doesn't really matter because he's going to UK/FSU though.

You fired the coach that was responsible for most of that success and hired a coach half as good.

Link?
We won more than we were supposed to this year -- and the reason THIS team was shite was the former coach's attrition, it had little to do with the current one.

We would be dancing next year with him. One down year with 6 scholarship players does not remove the reality of what we are and what we expect to be in the SEC. This will start to clarify itself next year -- and will be fully apparent in two.

I wouldn't say FSU has a "ton of talent." More like borderline bubble team talent.

With Miller/Okaro/Shannon returning. Borderline bubble team talent

Rathan-Mayes is good, but he's not nearly as talented as Snaer. Smith won't make much of an impact next season.

Star ratings don't always materialize. 4-stars are no guarantee, and some 5-stars flame out as well.

Florida State was lucky to make the NIT this past season, lost in their first round matchup LA Tech, and loses by far their best player.

Yes, I think you'll be a borderline NCAAt team without Wiggins next season... At best. Don't bring up crazily early preseason rankings, either. Being ranked in the preseason didn't help FSU at all this past season.

One example. But, based on nothing but your opinion.

Never said they were a guarantee. Just that FSU has plenty of talent, which is what you disputed.

Talented, young team. Which I have already stated.

The team is Sweet 16 caliber.

Coming off of winning the ACCT, there was a lot of hype. FSU fans knew it was going to be a rough year.

Yep. All of what I'm saying is based on opinion, as is everything you're saying.

Florida State has talent. Wouldn't say that they have "tons of talent." There are plenty of other programs with a bunch of four-stars on their roster who struggle.

Overwhelmingly talented teams don't struggle to make the NIT, no matter how young they are.

With Wiggins.

Without him...

Whoops, didn't meet gatorgators's definition of tons of talent.

And, what's your point? I'm saying FSU has plenty of talent. You're saying they do not. Teams with plenty of talent can still struggle.

If the freshman can mesh, FSU is sweet 16 caliber team without Wiggins.

Just exactly how good do you think XRM and Smith are?

Maybe those teams' talent was incorrectly evaluated.

I meant current freshman, not incoming.

This is all not even including if one of our big men actually develops.

The current freshman would have to do a lot more than "mesh" to elevate this FSU team to a Sweet Sixteen level.

Yeah, and you're just a random FSU poster on a message board.

What's your point?

IMO, if Wiggins was going to UK, he would have already committed... it was pretty well known what their players were doing.

How many more times do I have to say it?

Wiggins is going to UK and he's just playing the game right now. He has in-homes with UNC, KU, and FSU soon and then he'll commit within the next few weeks to UK.

Wait for it.....watch it.....book it.....etc.
