Have a buddy that decided it would be funny to prank me before he shipped off to basic so I'm thinking about getting even by printing off a ton of gay porn and mailing him letters with said gay porn under a few different names.
He won't get in any serious trouble will he?

He'll get made fun of hardcore by his drill sergeants. He wont be able to live it down.
Since DADT was ended though there's not much that they can do about it in a disciplinary sense.
ETA: BCT has become so soft today. I'm not even sure if they look at mail anymore.

They didn't even look at letters when I went through. They did make you open packages in front of them and the entire platoon though. You know, to make sure that people weren't sending you things that you're not allowed to have.

My dad told me stories of mail day at Parris Island.
Some dude got a Hershey bar in the mail and the DI made him open the envelope with his nose while singing the Marine Corps Hymn and then eat it still in the wrapper.

Don't do it man. Wait for later. He'll be fricked with plenty as it is. My little brother finished up Parris Island about 6 months ago and he said they'll will rip you a new one for something as simple as if you get a letter written on non-white paper. What your friend is gonna need is all the support you can give to him in written words.

ETA: There will be plenty of time for revenge later. And if you get an opportunity to go to his graduation, do it. USMC Bootcamp graduation was the most American thing I've ever had the privilege of witnessing.

I went to some Air Force graduation thing and found it incredibly boring.

I guess I enjoyed it because I saw my little brother grow up in the span of 3 months.
