no. the schools with more money will rise to the top even more though as I think pay for play is nearly inevitable.

as of right now, it's only ex players and their likenesses being used in after they leave, isnt it?

Well, hopefully you'll be able to cash in a bit on your kid.

Yes. Current players don't have money to throw around for a lawsuit that if I'm not mistaken has already cost the NCAA 10 mill. No telling how much for the former players.

sure would take the pressure off of some parents if they knew after their kid finished playing college ball he had a nice lump sum coming to him to help jumpstart his life after his college career ends...

especially if the kid is high profile!

Oh, you mean like getting something from the university that would help them with finding employment? Something given by the college that sets them apart from those who didn't go to college?

it may be a slippery slope... it may be a lot of things, but it's almost impossible to legitimately argue that the kids don't deserve some sort of cut.

no QUESTION that if you took names and put only numbers on jerseys that it would certainly effect sales of the games.

Sounds good. Let's make sure those kids doing research at the respective university get a check cut for them as well. Seems fair. Both students get used by the school, and both deserve to get paid....amirite?

completely agree...especially if the research is on the cutting edge and brings that particular university big money...

Not sure what you're getting at. My wife receives $900 per month from LSU for being a research assistant. That's on top of her Full scholarship for grad school. If she can get paid, I don't see why top athletes can't.
