Question: Do you think anyone has ever cheated to the point that they've hired a scuba diver to put fish directly on the hook?

Endorsements for the winner are 2-3 mil easy, right?...

Yes. Wherever there is competition, there is cheating. The same dude won the turtle race five years in a row at my county's summer Watermelon Festival before someone figured out he'd been rubbing a spot on the turtle's tail raw with sand paper, and then tapping the turtle on that spot with a finger soaked in tobasco sauce when the starter yelled "Go!". ANd the prize was only a blue ribbon. For 2-3 million dollars, I've bet they've got fricking bass aquariums built underneath the lakes with remote-control convertible roofs and teams of scuba divers. It's the american way.

much more prevelent in the smaller tourneys, guys get caught all the time, mainly fish baskets hidden in a cove with a scale tipper or two they caught in the previous week

Yeah, most of the bass fishermen I know do not mount largemouth on the wall.. they frame the winning photocopied checks ... lame.

At an FLW tourney here on Lake Guntersville they caught a guy who had his buddies fishing in various spots around the lake. They would call him on his cell phone if they found a good hole.
FLW is the Wal-mart series that pays big money.
The guy was banned for life and most other tours banned him too.

Why don't they just pair you up with a random? Less likely to cheat if it involves collusion.

And don't even act like you aren't tinkering with a fish-attracting robot in your mansion's basement.

They do at a lot of Tournaments, especially at the high levels.

One guy in North Carolina got caught putting 11 ounces of lead weight down a basses gullet...he was banned, and now fishes in shame. Cheater
