I keep seeing this stated as some sort of "fact". That Jones success is because of Brian Kelly and he just followed Kelly.

completely different offensive and defensive systems. The best pros out of CMU and Cincinatti were brought in by Jones.

Short answer is, he only road Kelly's cottails as much as Malzahn road Freeze's

not really a good comparison considering Freeze and Malzhan were both only there 1 year as HC

To be fair, Kelly did stock the kitchen full of grocery's for Jones.
