I think we may have actually seen deaths on the field between the lack of contact rules and shitty equipment. This is an 18yr old kid:

People bitch about new rules so much, but they don't pay attention to just how much athletes have evolved.

ETA: But shite, that's a teenager and his arms already look like LaRon.

In the 70s, the kids waited until the pros to start doping it up, nowadays the kids are getting drugs shoved down their throat in middle/high school football just to be able to compete with the other kids that are shoving PEDs down their throat.

hell, in the mid to late 90s I had dudes at a tiny arse private school in Connecticut trying to sell me roids when I played football.

one of them even tried to pitch roids as a way to avoid my concussion issues when he found out I was quitting to run cross country my senior year.

Middle schoolers on PEDs?

Tell me you have a link to back up this rediculous claim.

Not sure they are on PED's but they are encouraged to load up on the "Muscle Milk" and lift at least 4 days a week once they hit 7th grade. They have summer S&C programs and all athletes are heavily encouraged to attend the "voluntary" workouts at the school if they are playing football. My son is in middle school at a small private school in Montg.
