Auburn seeded #1 in the South Region back in 1999. It was an awesome feeling.

It's been over 3600 days since we last sniffed a tournament game though.

Two seed. Recalled against the 15 in round one and lost to Kent St in the second round. Freaking Gottfried

I'm sure LSU has had to been a higher before this, but I know they were #4 in 2006 and #8 in 2008.

LSU was a 1 seed in 1981 and made the Final Four.

Was also a 1 seed in 1980, lost to Louisville in the Elite Eight.

I think we've been a 4 seed twice ... 2001 and the Bryce Drew year.... I look forward to watching that replay 785 fricking times over the course of the next month.

1 seed.

We've been ranked #1 during the season.

We've finished #1 after the tournament.

Man. What a down turn in that athletic department. Truly a remarkable feat.

there's only one thing I remember from that game. the announcers mention some black player for Ole Miss and how his mom was afraid for him to go to Ole Miss based on their racist past.
