Remember the AL.com writer that bashed AU.

About 5 or 6 months back when Bama had that commit that was accused of rape and Dee Liner was still committed to AU but had 2 arrest. The writer for AL.com wrote an article saying AU should be ashamed of themselves for pursuing Liner and basically Liner doesn't deserve a 3rd chance. He also went on to explain how Bama should give the accused raper a shot because everyone's innocent until proven guilty. Mind you the kid had been accused of raping two different girls.
I wonder if he still works for AL.com? I couldn't believe they published the article. Does anyone remember his name? I want to heckle him on twitter
Also, did the kid ever sign with anyone or get charged with the crime?
Ment to post on Recruiting Board

No and he was arrested 1 or 2 more times.

Auburn board is the moral victory board.

Someone has to know his name. I would be willing to bet he is no longer employed there.

My magic 8 ball says the name you seek is...
Matt Scalici
You're welcome.
Or perhaps Jeff Sentell
Jeff Sentell: Auburn should rescind offer to troubled lineman Dee Liner
Less than a minute on the Google got me the answer. It was the 3rd link from the top.

Nope, it was Jeff Sentell I just found the article

I believed that Auburn should have pulled his scholarship offer while he worked through more important things than football.
On Deon Johnson
quote:
Alabama, the state where football trumps all, still resides in the United States of America. The words "innocent until proven guilty" still matter.
quote:
For all intents, whatever commitment the Spanish Fort senior had to the Alabama program is now contingent on due process. Does that really need to be said? The legal system controls that offer. Nick Saban doesn't need to pull it.

He sucks, but so do a lot more writers. He had an agenda.

I'm starting to think that Fluker, 14, Beer Bryant and AllBamaDoes are the same poster. I can never differentiate their posts.

Wasn't one of Dee Liner's incidents not really that bad, almost kind of came off as the good guy in the situation? Or am I thinking of a different guy that got arrested multiple times while committed to Auburn?

quote:He got arrested once for cussing a cop that was arresting or ticketing his mom and a second time for jumping a fence to swim in a public pool that was closed. Neither were really bad, but just some red flags. I think he got into with his HS coaches and got suspended from his team for a while as well.
