Officers observed the suspect, Sister Shemeco Tawana Riley, 38, of Birmingham, approach the front door then retreat into the rear of the apartment. The suspect returned to the door and advanced towards the officers.
Unbeknownst to the officers, Riley was in possession of a box cutter.
As the suspect exited the apartment, she began to cut three of the officers. The suspect also pushed one officer from the elevated apartment deck.

Let's put the blame where it belongs... These dumb cops were in the heart of the Bham ghetto serving a warrant on a woman who has multiple felony arrests... At least one of them has to have a taser ready to pop her arse at any moment.. They underestimated her, and they got beat the frick up for it.. No I'm not a cop, it's just common sense... Have a taser ready.

With as PC and pussy as our society is today, they were probably terrified of doing the right thing and having Al Sharpton breathing down the department's neck by Monday for brutality.
