Two best - Lawrence Williams push starting my Ford Courier in a campus parking lot while attending school back in the early 80s and Louis Coleman taking time for pictures with my son at a football game many years later.

Worst - Took a piss next to Skip Bertman in restroom of Walk-Ons and he didn't even recognize me.

Best: Met Lee Roy Jordan when I was 13. He was awesome.

pretty cool: dominating in water basketball at the Downs Pool with Jimmy Johns.

Worst: Almost got my arse kicked by Evan Mathis at 4th and 23rd. He's considerably bigger than me

I sat next to him in Psychology too. Patrick must have been sandwiched in between us. I remember him always asking for a pencil. I think I gave him one like every day....damn proud to do it too.

Best: Played golf with Herschel. Hung out with Vince Dooley and his family at his condo on Amelia Island. Got sloppy drunk with Barkley at the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead. Took "Coaching the Fundamentals of Football" with Champ and Kirby and bumch of other players. Good guys.

Worst/Best: A walk-on got his arse whipped over a girl at my fraternity hous. He showed back up with 30 other scrubs and red-shirts, including a guy that eventually killed somebody years later. They lost. A lot like the football team while I was in school. :(

Best: Mike Shula as a player and a coach. Say what you want but Shula was a class act all the way around. I always wanted him to succeed.

Never really had a bad experience with a college or pro athlete and i have met quite a few. Maybe because I am not a jock sniffer who wanted something from them.

On a side note Saban is one of the most down to earth charismatic figures you would want to meet. Much much different from his public persona.

Best: used to go to Bama basketball games with my uncle who was paralyzed. We would wait by the dressing room and the players would all give him high-5's before the game. I saw Antione Pettway at a car wash in behind Office Depot...He recognized me and asked about him because we hadn't been at the dressing room. Told him he had been sick for weeks. At the next game, Pettway handed me a ball with "Get Well Soon" and the whole teams signatures ('02-'03). It was pretty freakin cool.

Worst: Met Brodie Croyle

Best:

Hung out with P-Willy several times at our fraternity house, one of the times being the day of the 2006 draft. It was the year Mario Wiiliams went #1, Saints got Reggie, etc.

We were having our big spring party and P-willy and ab 10 of us were in a room watching the draft. He had obviously decided to come back for his senior season and we were all telling him, 'thatll be you next year man', sure enough, one yr later he went 13th overall and was the 1st LB taken. He was always cool as shite to be around. Real talkative and very humble.

Worst:

Bradley Sowell was a massive douche. Im sure anyone who was ever around him would agree. Good friend of mine played golf with him one time and said he was an arrogant a-hole.

Best: When I was about 12 or 13 the SEC basketball tourney was in Orlando. My dad took me and a friend. Im not really sure if the practices were open or if we technically shouldn't have been there. Anyway, my buddy and I were there when LSU came out to practice and Chris Jackson, Shaq, Stanley Roberts and another guy came out early to shoot around. We got up and starting rebounding for them and feeding them balls. My dad about shite...thought we were going to get kicked out of the arena... but they were all as nice and accomidating as they could be to a couple of junior high kids.

Worst: Met Tater Tot Bowden at a grocery store. (His UNA days). He had a buggy slap full of soap and shampoo. Said if he didn't get it for them (the team), they would never bathe.

In my summer English class we had about 20 people in the entire class. Had to sit between Kadron Boone, JC Copeland, Nic Jacobs, and cameron Fordham. Needless to say JC Copeland is the funniest mother fricker I've ever encountered. He would literally make a professor laugh every class and he got us extensions on everything easiest class ever

i accidentally ran into Saban in the athletic dept one morning. his nose hit me right square in the balls....it hurt pretty bad. a-hole didn't even apologize.
Literally one of the funniest things I've read in a long time.

I haven't had any bad encounters with players/coaches.

I talked to Kevin Minter while I was in line for textbooks at the bookstore when he got in line behind me. I saw Chad Jones several times in the Quad and made small talk/congratulate on his playing heroics from the previous game. Ron Brooks was in my Econ class and I'd usually yap it up with him after class. All three are really nice and humble.

The best was probably when DJ McCarthy gave my dad, sister and me a tour of the Football Ops at LSU. While he was showing us around we poked our head in Les' office while he was having some lunch. As DJ was about to say "sorry coach, we'll get out of your hair", Les interrupted him mid sentence and graciously invited us in while he was in the middle of having lunch. Les conversed with us for a good 15-20 minutes. He and my dad had a grand ole time talking about Ohio since Les is from Elyria and my dad is from Mansfield, only an hour apart. He asked about my interests and my sister's interests and wished us the best. Very relaxed and lucid when he isn't in front of the camera. Very warm too.

Best- Chris Faulk used to come play COD while I was living in WCA

Worst- Russell Shepard came to one of our parties and when he left so too did all of the bitches we had over. Walked upstairs to his apt and he literally had two of the chicks making out with each other on his couch.
