It's not that far fetched to say you guys will lose a game before conference play starts... I think it will be against USM in a neutral park... And I know Pollorena owns the Buzzards but he is the only pitcher on your staff that has really struggled at all this year... Opponents are hitting .286 against him and he averages a walk every 2 innings.

Trustmark Park is not neutral. Will overwhelmingly be State people there against USM because no one gives a shite about USM. The OM/State series there is more equally attended.

The Golden Triangle invades Pearl....gotta love it

ETA: What is so golden about West Point, Columbus, Starkville, and all points in between anyway?

It will actually be "Rankin County invades Trustmark Park". Ironically the only strong fan base OM has in Rankin County is in Pearl, MS. No shite. Go down 80 in Pearl and all you see is OM tags and bumper stickers.

Man IDK I've worked in Flowood, MS a lot over the past 3 years and I can tell you that on Lakeland I could blindfold myself and throw a rock and 95% of the time hit a car with some type of OM shite on it.

Now I've also worked a lot in Columbus and the opposite is true there......aside from the one loud mouthed Auburn fan at the SO....I figured he would have been run out of town by now. Working at Lowndes CO SO in 2010 was un-freaking-bearable.

No no no no nooooo. Flowood is 100% State territory. The tags you saw we're probably from Madison and people who work in Flowood. All goes back to the old saying of "what does an OM grad say to a State grad? Good morning boss". Go through the neighborhoods around Flowood and in Rankin county in general. State stuff everywhere. No I will say that there is a resurgence since Bucky showed up but Rankin county is still 75% good guys easily. And it's interesting that Pearl seems to be the one OM hangout. I guess they had similar interests back in the day.

Interestingly enough there are lots of lawyers and doctors who are also huge State boosters who did their undergrad at State.

State invented it. LSU mastered it to the point where we finished the job you guys just couldn't or wouldn't do.

USM will have a lot of people there. They are top 15 every year in attendance. Basketball and football attendance may suck, but they bring people to baseball games.

If only they hadn't scheduled the biggest weekend during spring break. I would love to know what opening SEC weekend attendance against LSU with no spring break would be but that wouldn't be possible.
