we have an extra guy enrolling Monday. I believe I know who it is but I'm trying to get verification. Think Josh Reynolds: JUCO that was a full qualifier so he can transfer whenever. Defense. May have to get cleared with University still...

Played Safety in HS but is listed as a WDE out of JUCO. Redshirted this year so he'd be 4 to play 4

His highlights were aggressive, his dimensions stand out especially at safety, looked like when RSJ was back there.does he play WDE for us?

he redshirted so no one has seen him play but we have good relations with Blinn staff and they basically told us he blew up once they moved him to DE. We went out and looked at him in spring and decided to offer. Not at all a need position in this class so he must be pretty electric.
It's really weird though because most JUCO staffs would be pretty upset not getting a single down out of a player that is bound for a school like us. I can only speculate that we made promises to steer kids to Blinn.

Nice. I was thinking it would be a safety or LB when you said it based on need so they must have been impressed

I honestly don't know where we plan to put him. I think JACK could be a possibility. That's definitely a need. But apparently Blinn moved him and he put on weight and he was unstoppable so I don't think we're looking at him as a safety at all.

people on the 247 board are thinking he ends up there, JACK/JOKER or whatever you personally call it

Yeah I figured we didn't want him at safety at 225. Wherever he lines up I assume he's going to be pass rushing specialist

Here's some HUDL film playing DE for Blinn in the spring. It's always hard to tell at a JUCO but I like the cut of his jib. Good profile and looks relentless. Reminded me a bit of Damontre chasing that guy down across the field. He's pretty quick off the ball too. Poor fundamentals though. He needs to work on his footwork and use his hands better. Not surprising given he just moved to the position.
He definitely looks a lot bigger than in HS. Still lean though. Liucci tweeted he weighed in at 227 when he visited us. I could definitely see him putting on another 20+ lbs.

I was sworn to secrecy not to say anything but Hamm told me about this last week. The coaches didn't want it out because the kid had never been recruited. Apparently Sumlin wanted him to just enroll under the radar so other schools wouldn't try to swoop in at the 11th hour. Luigi had to sit on it too.
