Living in Memphis I have figured out that there are a lot of people in this world who do not have a brain.

As I am driving to work today a guy pulls up behind me on the freeway. I am doing 15 mph over the speed limit but he still feels the need to ride my butt to the point that i can no longer see his hood. I decide to remind him that his drivers test questioned him on the safe distance between two cars and proceeded to give him the break tap get off my rear move. I am guessing this does not sit well because the dude loses his mind. He proceeds to swerve across 4 lanes of traffic and cut people off in order to get in front of me.

When he gets in front of me he starts throwing trash out of his car at me and gets off the same exit i have to get off of to get to work. I never acknowledged the guys actions but for some reason he thinks i want to throw down. He stops his car in the middle of the exit and proceeds to get out with a gun. I have no desire to go to jail or die so i go around him.

The main reason i tell this story is to remind people who suffer from road rage that you might want to calm it down. You could get involved with a guy like me who sees the gravel shoulder and thinks to himself, i'll show this idiot, and proceeds to go around you trashing your 2012 Mustang GT with gravel as he goes by.

Yeah braking while going 15 over is totally safe. Thanks for keeping our roadways safe Danica.

1. Pull out concealed weapon

2. Shoot in face

But for real that is psycho.

There was less road rage when we as a society were not so damn uptight about having a drink and a cigarette every so often. FACT.

I smoke and drink a lot and still suffer from debilitating road rage.

I'd never pull a gun on someone who was a shitty driver though. That's fricked up.

People in general lack the ability to differentiate things that are important from things that are trivial. Thus they get all worked up about sh*t that should have little to no meaning (such as the difference of a few seconds/minutes in arrival time).

The guy you ran into clearly needs to calm down. People who tailgate are obnoxious, and I don't blame you for tapping the brakes. Glad there weren't any negative consequences.

Why didn't you just get in the slow lane like you were supposed to?

He did take it to far though.

I tailgate people who are going slower than I would like to go when they can move out of the way. I usually tailgate for a little bit and then back off to see if they get the message. If they still don't move over then I'll ride their arse until they do what they're supposed to do or I get tired of trying to teach them the difference between the left lane and the right lane and go around them.

I hate the assholes who either don't care or don't know about the difference in the right lane and the left lane.

This. If some dude gets road rage towards me and comes at me with a gun they will be terminated with extreme prejudice.

Minor road rage reaction on your part

Tailgating and brake checking are dumb as hell. It doesn't matter how frustrated you are, it is very risky.

Is it really worth getting yourself in an accident?

I hope you badasses with your guns enjoy your jail time. Prepare your anus.

Much easier to hit the guy with your car. Also easier to prove it was an accident.

This happened near my hometown.

pretty fricked up series of events.

70 years because 2 idiots with guns blew up and couldn't just stay in their cars and flip each other off angrily

Being threatened with a deadly weapon is enough to prove use of deadly force as self defense.

This is part of the problem. Everyone drives slow as shite all over the state of Tennessee. It drives me crazy. Of course, I only curse these people under my breath, but hot damn, if the speed limit is 70 and you're doing 73 in the left lane, eat a bag of dicks.

One of the things I miss about Atlanta is the general disregard for the speed limit.
