I don't mean to pile on the kid but Damn, he can't even dribble the basketball. and he was a 5 star? Whoever gave him that rating should be sterilized.

Worst ever? I wouldn't go that far. For being a 5 star though he has been an EXTREME disappointment. He better step it up next season or he will get lost in the crowd.

Wow, just wow.

What were y'all expecting? Outside of the top couple of guys, most 5 stars aren't going to be one and done players.

Hard to say. Is he the worst five-star ever? Absolutely.

I don't follow bball recruiting that closely but I do remember the consensus being that he was very raw without any kind of a polished offensive game. So, I'm a little disappointed but not as much as those that were expecting him to a program changer based on his 5 star status.

What does make me scratch my head is that CAG had him in the starting line-up the first few games of the season. Not sure what he was thinking.

He's definitely not the worst freshmen I have seen. He is the worst 5 star player I have ever seen though.

Maybe Pollard had a great fall camp and was deserving of it? Then he possibly froze up during the actual season I honestly have no idea but I've wondered the same thing.

He's bad, but he is not that bad. Most freshman with his skill level don't get to play as often as he does as a freshman, so he just gets to display his shitfest more often than other freshmen. I still think it is mostly nerves. He was raw skill-wise coming out, but he wasn't this bad. The kid was a nervous wreck in interviews with Greg O in HS and was voted by ESPN as "Most Shy" in the whole 2012 class and I'm also pretty sure they just added that superlative for him. Don't remember that one being in the superlatives they've listed in the past classes.

I can totally see this. He looks scared and timid on the court, and he plays slow because of it

This makes the most sense. He hasn't played great, but let's not forget the hot mess that was Lacey's freshman year. He made a pretty substantial improvement.

I think Pollard will make a similar jump. Get the kid in the weight room.

It's funny though because he's one of the few players on the team who has absolutely no hesitation when it comes to taking shots. Unfortunately, he just lacks the ability to make them.

Lacey was never this bad as a freshman and got better as the season progressed.

I do think its probably nerves, but if he is so shy and introverted to the point that it prevents him from making a simple outlet pass it's a big fricking problem. That's more like an anxiety disorder.

He was from a small town in Mississippi. I wonder if the big city (sort of) and a big university campus atmosphere has startled the guy.

Hopefully, he'll adjust to the new conditions soon.
