All depends. If I have a squad full of young guys that I know is going to come back the next season (i.e. most anywhere not Kentucky) the NIT is probably going to give them more experience on a tournament level.

Otherwise it's NCAA Tourney all the way IMO.

ETA: For my team it's NCAA Tournament.

Win the NIT, just for the banner.

That's what I was thinking. Those extra games in a tourney environment could really help a young squad.

Lose in first round of NCAA tourney by a mile. I remember watching a press conference with Roy Williams a few years back after his team reached the NIT Championship Game and he acted like somebody who just watched his dog get shot. A NIT Championship means almost nothing.

Arkansas doesn't do NIT or NCAA appearances banners. Final Four or bust

Teams with crappy histories have to settle for a banner for each appearance. It would clutter up our upper deck if we did that
