Barbee's gotta go. This is insanely bad basketball being played and you can't blame it all on "lack of talent" and the players. Take some responsibility, Coach. Yeah, you inherited a mess, but we were hoping you'd begin to clean it up by now, not turn it into a shitshow!!!

Had high hopes for BB. I struggle to understand how he was an up and comer at his last job, and so far looks to be a flop. What the hell is going on? I don't know enough about this sport to understand. I do support it and watch, but that is the depth of what I know. I do know this, I got the sadz.

Basketball has been shite since the Ellis debacle.. Previous to that we havent been the best in the league but havent been this bad.. The team has given up... Barbee doesnt know how to coach and lucked out at Utep in a mediocre CUSA league.. Jay Jacobs needs to be fired immediately!

He lucked up with Culpepper and Caracter, he had a really good team that year. and UTEP ended up getting a better coach out of the deal.

^^This. Every other year at UTEP was pretty mediocre at best. And they did get blown out in the very first round of the tourney. While we should have hired the seasoned, older coach we settled for the up and comer.

Barbee has to go. I love college basketball and I think the NCAA tourney is one of the greatest sporting events of all time. It pains my soul to see our program this bad. It ruins my basketball season.....

Yeah, but there is sorta a reason for this...
Ellis came in and was on board with buying players. He reached out to the students, got some excitement going and got the money flowing to some recruits so we could win.
We got caught.
Lebo came in and ran a clean program. We got our arse kicked.
Barbee is a good coach, as was Lebo. He is running a clean program and we are getting our arse kicked.
You see where I am going with this. College basketball is the dirtiest of all NCAA sports. I don't have a good answer but if I am being honest I don't think we win unless we get dirty to get the recruits. I know, poor attitude for me to have, but just my honest opinion.

This is a poorly put together team. When teams don't respect your pg as a scoring threat and you lack a post player that can command and pass out of a double team it is extremely hard to get clean looks in the half court. We should try to up tempo teams and actually have a few players that could thrive in that style but unfortunately we can't defensive board well enough to leak anyone out. The one average defensive rebounder we have is a walking turnover.

Basketball is a disaster. It hurts. Thats all I got to say. I've commented plenty of the topic of Barbee so I'm not going to bother.

Lebo actually was a pretty good coach. We did win 24 games one season while he was here. He just couldn't recruit.
