Still don't think he will re-do his insane year. Saban was too stubborn to change up his defense, won't happen again. The west as a whole will be improved with Ole Miss, Arky, and Auburn all making big upswings. His all-world LT is gone. Don't care if his backups are good, Joeckel was all-world and will be an all-pro. Swope was so fricking clutch at WR and your DE gave yall momentum shifts a good bit.

I think he will be good, just not as good. Then he will go pro.

Even when he did, JFF moved the ball. A&M actually left 6 points on the field in that game (missed FG, missed XP, missed two point conv.).

True, but I still think A&M will be a cut above. Only difference is those games won't be blowouts like they were last year (sans ole miss, of course).

The talent we're bringing in should continue what slope did. Malcolme Kennedy is probably the best at finding the open spot when JFF scrambles, and will only get better. Can't forget about Mike Evans, either.

I actually think he'll be BETTER. Not as many rushing numbers, though, if only because he's only going to get more deadly in the pocket.

Perhaps.

ever heard of jake matthews?

true, but we are returning mike evans who had over 1000 receving yards and he was hurt for 3/4 of the year. for 3/4 of the year, he wouldnt even practice until thursday according to sumlin. so add in a healthy evans and all of our incoming receivers and we are ok there

the only comment in your butt hurt ridden drivel that actually holds any kind of weight is we are really going to miss moore. his absence is what is what we are going to miss the most. not swope nor joeckel

yes I have. He's good, but he's not Joeckel. Luke is going to be an All-Pro IMO. And no I'm not butt hurt. We beat you. In College Station.

FIFY

I used to hate Manziel after the ESPN suckfest but after meeting him in NoLa at the Super Bowl he is cool as frick. But the way the faggies idol him its gotten to his head. I think he is cool but no way i could suck up enough to make it into his "clique" like all his other bros that were there were. Even when I was talking to them all they did was talk JFF and how he owned OM, even tho he only had 1 pick coming into the game and we forced 6 TOs. But hey AGGIE is the loose Latin translation of all things delusional.

hate taking online classes, to be honest.

Have no fear JFF won't be taking those classes. The person taking them will be about 5'6" with thick glasses or be a girl. THAT"S WHY THEY ARE ONLINE so no one notices when he cuts all his classes.

That just makes it more difficult for him and the classes he can't take online. O well. Get over it. If a student can do it, so can Johnny. I don't get the anger from all the jealous LSU fans.

New rumor is apparently he also just switched his major from Business to Ag Leadership which is the jock major. He was well on his way to graduating in Business which is no easy task at A&M so essentially this move is so he can focus on football and coast on the school end.

He's about mailed it in already.

I think he gets humbled a bit next year.
Teams have all offseason to gameplan.

Logic fail. The only way Manziel leaves next year is if he has another year similar to or better than last. If he is "humbled" next year, he'll be back in 2014.

JFF's in the business school. I hold a degree from there. You can space out the major-related classes pretty easily once you get to the upper level. Especially as far ahead of the curve as he is already academically.

Your boy down below said the word is now that Johnny Phoneix Football is now in "Ag Leadership"...Which is evidently a jock-discipline extrodinaire?

Not true. He could just have a good year and go pro. People won't forget this past year where he broke every fricking record.

Nobody is going to pick a 5'11", 190 pound redshirt sophomore who declined noticeably from the first to second year in the first round. Sorry.

College records mean nothing to NFL scouts, and hell yes they will.

Of course it isn't true. Just off the top of my head, we have 4 players who had sub-par years compared to 2011 who are leaving after the 2012 seasons.

Eric Reid - Was awarded All-American but definitely did not play like. Now he was injured for the entire SEC slate with a very badly bruised sternum but he dipped from 2011. Still leaving.

Chris Faulk - 1st Team All-SEC in 2011 at LT. Blew out his knee early in 2012. Leaving for the NFL. Obviously couldn't even play yet is still leaving.

Tharold Simon - 2nd Team All-SEC in 2011 and was projected to be a 1st rounder as a 6-3 long-armed, rangy cornerback who actually allowed a smaller YPC average given up than did the 6th pick in the draft and winner of every single DB award that Honeybadger didn't win, Mo Claiborne. Obviously slipped this year-though again played the rest of the year after the A&M game with a really problematic toe injury which hampered his effectiveness. Still leaving for the NFL.

Brad Wing - Dude was on swag overdrive after an All-SEC and All-American 2011 as a Punter. Very sub-par year which included two suspensions for violations of team rules, an injury and a dip in performance, and he's still leaving.

But dude, don't confuse aggies with facts & logic. They don't know how to respond.

Didn't realize he switched. Think it's a smart move for him, though.

That's just happened this semester. Johnny was on track as a Jr in the B School so he has plenty of brainpower. Can't argue with the move, he knows his future is going to be playing football and being an Aggie God for the rest of his life, not trying to get a job at IBM doing accounting. Dude's a trust fund baby anyway.

If I were in his shoes I'd do the same thing, no reason to kill yourself getting a really tough degree if you don't need it. He likely already has most of the difficult courses out of the way for Ag Leadership (which is essentially Business light)? He may even be able to graduate sooner.

Let's clear something up about how A&M works. Just because you have been admitted to the school does not mean that you are admitted to a particular degree program.

You don't just walk into a top business school and start taking classes just because you are on an athletic scholarship. JFF is a pretty fricking good student. He got into Mays on his ACADEMIC merit, not athletic.

It IS business light--I was always envious of the Ag L majors cuz I was essentially locked into the business school

My dad volunteers as an athlete tutor at Bright, and had mentioned that JFF was considering making that switch. Glad he got some wise counsel--no sense killing himself @ Mays when his future's obviously going to take him elsewhere, like you said.
