You can have the 4-game series lead. We'll take the 2 national titles and the Omaha victories.

eta: Every last Arky fan on here knows they would give SC a 4-game series lead if it meant exchanging those 2 losses last year in Omaha for a shot at the title.

What does 1979 have to do with anything?

It was the only time the Hogs left the CWS with a winning record.

Again, what is your point of us playing you in Omaha? Arkansas vs. USCe in Omaha is 3-3

Am I missing something? It's not like us meeting LSU in Omaha, where we've never beaten them there.

I was just asking if you were going to party like it is '79? I guess the answer is "no."

So my revolutionary theory that if you lose a game (or games) you fall in the polls......... has been validated?

Did you glean that from all the polls in which we didn't fall?

It's a working theory therefore, this "gleaning" is outside my sphere of knowledge.

However, I have also noticed that any team that lost did not move higher in any polls.

I only seek the truth.

We wouldn't have to trade them for wins. We'd just trade them for an ump that doesn't clearly hate Arkansas and win the games on superior talent.

WIU made a decent case for #2. 99.9% of the other teams in the cou try would have been swept even though we started 5 freshman and a midweek reliever on Sunday. Have to get those guys experience early.
