The New Ford Fusion

Ford knocked it out of the park with the new Astin Martin front end. Aston builds arguably the most beautiful cars in the world. Ford owning them has finally paid off.
I've seen several in the Flowood area and I would defintely drive one

Formerly being in the business, I was super excited about this new Fusion.
I didn't sell American products, but I'm interested in having a good American auto industry. I was really excited, and this car before it came out was something I set up at the car that could get me out of my German cars.
Then I went and saw it. It's a nice car compared to many American cars, but it's not great. Hopefully it does well, but I didn't get this American car when I needed one.

Reminds me of 300's trying to look like Bentley. Until a Bentley rolls up next to you at a red light.
I don't even wanna be on this road no mo. uh uh.

I saw a couple of black guys who looked to be in their early-mid 20s roll up to a red light in a Bentley the other day. When they pulled off I saw that it had a Montana tag. I wasn't aware that there were any black people in Montana at all, much less filthy rich black people from Montana.

The difference is Chrysler didn't own RR. Ford owns Astin Martin.
And Chrysler products are complete pieces of shite
Smoking way before 80,000 miles. This is a problem with all Dodge/Chrysler products that don't have a V8 in them. Their 4 and 6 cylinder engines are pieces of shite

The real difference is the target market.
This car looking like a nicer car will probably have a bit longer shelf life than the 300.

I was in love with this car till I saw it on person. Still nice, especially for being a ford/fusion, but I was just sort of let down in person.

Had a family member just buy one. It does look amazing on the outside, but the inside is small and cramped. Also it quite possibly has the most uncomfortable seats put in a car. Handles good, good on gas and does have some pretty cool features.

There is also a guy in our neighborhood with a Chevy Volt. That fricker has AMAZING of the line acceleration. He smokes everyone, even all the Corvette dads and Camaro kids. It has become a game coming down our boulevard when everyone is coming home from work. Kids will get beside him, the come to a 4 way and the Volt absolutely smokes all of them with just a gentle whir.

I'm sad the Colt didn't do better than it did, but it was semi-pricey. They're still halting(or ending) production of the volt, aren't they?

Pretty much the only electric car that's even worth owning is the tesla. All the others should stop being made until they figure out how to make the recharge time quicker and make the batteries last longer as far as distance is concerned. Also I don't believe that a volt beat a vette or a camero off the line. That's something I would have to see cause if it did the drivers of the vette and camero are awful.

Anyone else following the Tesla Washington DC to Boston fiasco?

I've pulled up next to a few Teslas here in my neighborhood, being the baller I am.
They're great looking cars, if they live up to the real world necessities of the masses, I think they could be great.
I don't think there will be a sub 30k electric car worth owning in the next 10 years, but for those with money they seem to be the shite.

Tesla put two Supercharger Stations between Boston and DC, and said it was possible to make the trip by only stopping at those two stations.
NYT writer tests the car, and runs out of juice in Conneticuit and said Tesla's full of crap.
Tesla CEO releases the graphs and data from the drive and says the writer purposely tried to get the car to run out and fail and that he has a vendetta against Tesla.
Writer claims this to be false, Tesla don't give a shite. Meanwhile, CNN writers are currently trying to reproduce the drive and see of you can make it after all

Absolutely, 100% feasible. You have to understand electric-drive mechanics but, in a nutshell, the Volt (and just about all electrics for that matter) is laying down nearly 100% of its PEAK TORQUE as soon as the the driver hits the pedal. It's not rocket science and is definitely very plausible. That said, it's still gonna come back to earth in a 1/4 mile.

PS You should shoot a Walther PPQ, you will never touch another XD again
Ding Ding Ding
Electric drives have CRAZY torgue of the line. Combustion engines have no way to keep up. No in a drag race the combustion engine may catch it but it wouldn't be in a 1/4 mile. More like a mile. They tested several against Italian cars on Top Gear and the results were the same.

I see what y'all are saying and I understand it. I'm not an engineering major or anything like that but it's still one of those things I'd want to see in person. It's just hard to believe that a car with 273 ft lbs of torque can beat a base corvette that has double that. There also no way that a volt would beat a vette in a quarter mile. I just watched several videos on YouTube and volts were running high 17's to high 18's in the quarter mile. If that's the case my v8 jeep would beat it in the quarter mile. Now the tesla on the other hand I can believe that it can beat a vette in a quarter mile. They basically weigh nothing and are more powerful than a volt and I believe that on top gear they said it was more powerful than the lotus Elise that's its based off of.
