So at least we can pretend the rant likes facts over unsubstantiated opinion...

How dare you post actual stats. The ranters will have to get out their slide rulers and pocket protectors. Look what you have done.

Top half of the league in points every year as an OC except his first year. I'll take it.

So playing against college defenses is like playing against Cleveland every game?

Interesting to compare the Rushing rankings to the Passing rankings, on the teams he's coached.

Also, don't forget that his average starting QB in his 10 years as an offensive coordinator had 3.2 years of NFL experience and 2.9 years of coordinator experience. He's had Brees, Rivers, and Flacco in their early development stages.

The interesting stats on profootballreference are the percentile ranks, where is is VERY good. One thing that his offenses do is protect the football extremely well, which is probably the most important offensive stat other than points scored.

Only thing I don't like about this hire is he will stay at LSU 2 years MAX with any kind of success. If he isn't successful, Miles isn't going to make a move on his buddy.

NFL coordinator coming in is nice but some guys can't coach college kids. Some OCs try to force their philosophy on these guys and it's too complex for them to understand with little adjustments to strength. That's what I'm worried about...

Let's see a better than average NFL Offensive Coordinator having the same position with our team. Seems to me like its worth a try.
