They just voted to change the housing scholarship for National Merit Scholars from 4 years to 1 year, so I wouldn't be too surprised if this number changed a little.

I know when I was looking at the scholarships, part of the reason I chose Alabama was because of that scholarship.

Good stuff. Great recruiting efforts aren't limited to the Athletic Department.

The scholarship they will be offering while reduced in the coming years is still tremendous. I am very proud that our University is taking steps toward becoming not only an athletic power but also an academic power.
