Auburn fans, are you guys taking a package deal?

Are you guys willing to take Mackenro to get Mackensie? IMO Mack is the 2nd best CB in this class and would be a great pickup. Not sure if you guys are in a situation scholarship wise to take Mackenro though.

I think that's the plan
DB is a serious position of need, so it's not like we're taking Mackenroe at a loss. Seems like he could develop into a good player, too

We lack safeties and secondary in general. Mackenro has a chip on his shoulder now and I think could be a good one in a year or two. He would be worth a scholarship if for no other reason than having him as depth. And Mackensie speaks for himself.
The best part would be the back of the jerseys:
Mackenr Alexander & Mackens Alexander

I know coaches have different approaches but this isn't an approach that makes a lot of sense to me.

Appreciate the responses. I think Mackenro could develop into an SEC level safety eventually. He would be very useful on ST for a year or 2. Mackensie would play in your 2 deep from day 1, and may even be the Nickel. Kid can ball.

Pretty sure MacKenro has a committable offer. We'd take both since our current safeties haven't been so great anyways

what approach? to take a kid who could develop into a great player at a position of need? there is only so much room on the field and our safeties aren't locks to return as starters next year. This kid, if he comes in as hungry as he makes like he is, could work his way into the 2 deep if not a starting spot in the fall. But yes, worst case scenario is that he provides depth at a thin spot.

No, to take a kid believing he's a roster filler/depth provider.

Big difference in taking a kid just to fill numbers and taking a kid as a mid-term project that could be good but worst case is that he ends up as a roster filler. The kid is a solid player in his own right, the only problem is that his brother is a fricking stud corner and could be 1 of a handful of lock down corners in the class.

Ya, trust me it's not like we'd be losing talent by signing Mackenro, and Mackensie speaks for himself. I've heard him being compared to Mathieu.

Kids got some skills. Was out of position at OLB for the year and still was voted lineman of the year on a state championship team. Hopefully he comes in with a chip on his shoulder. Definitely not just a "filler" type of kid, just overshadowed by his bro somewhat.
2012 NDN DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: MACKENRO ALEXANDER, IMMOKALEE
Alexander led the Indians with 154 tackles this season — 35 solo — and was second on the team with five interceptions — four of those returned for touchdowns.

Yes we will, but will also take either one should they split up. Which I doubt they do.

I think Ro is a good player and would end up a starter on just about every team in the sec. His brother is a head case but one of the best if not the best corner in the class. I would take em both.

Speaking of package deals, have you heard anything on Denzel Ware dmb? Sounds like he's trying to get offers for his brother Tate Sweatt by saying he wants to go to the same school.

I think we would take Mackenro without Mackensie.

No way we do a package deal unless both players are good enough. Champ doesn't frick around like that...

There has to be something that's not presently accounted for. His brother has absolutely no D1 offers with only a few days to go til NSD.
If I go into a walk-on theory, it really makes no sense that he'd de-commit from FSU at this point.

I hear ya. He may be the top defensive player on UF's board though, and he knows that. Plus, when he committed to FSU, they had a different staff on D.
