ncaa should ban negative recruiting. coaches should have to be wired to a recording device located at the ncaa whenever they make any contact with recruit so there is an official record of everything that is said to recurits

?? You serious clark?

im dead serious. its technically possible, and coaches should not be saying anything to a recruit that is untrue or that they wouldnt want the ncaa to hear. everybody is always complaining about how dirty recruiting is. it would be interesting to see how some schools would do if everything they said was reviewable.. damien craig would be out of a job.

Could be mistaken but I'd assume he counts toward the 85 and not the 25. If someone has access to the OM board ask them how it worked with Masoli

They are saying he had to count against both since he came in and immediately played

I don't see how he would if he isn't making a decision before signing day and needs to graduate then pick his university. That's like saying a kid who transfers in the summe due to his coach leaving would count against the 25. Impossible.

It would only make sense if he counted against the 85.

I thought the 25 limit was for Letters of Intent. Is that not the case?

How good is Coker? I haven't see him take a single snap. Is he really good or are y'all under the assumption he's way ahead of the guys on scholarship in terms of managing a game with the skill players Alabama has?

There is an SEC limit on LOIs. There is a separate NCAA limit on initial counter scholarships. He would obviously count against the 85 total scholly limit. If he also counts against the initial counter limit, then we would need to allow for that in how many we take in this class and essentially save 1 spot for him. Maybe have 1 signee designated to greyshirt if we get Coker.

Really good was very close to beating out Winston, that being said he will still have to obviously get here and compete but no doubt in my mind he will quickly distance himself. He is also a very good athlete and can make plays with his feet,

I think he counted just against both IIRC. That was so wacky I have trouble remembering the specifics.

Agreed. I can't imagine there's a better set-up for him in the country than Bama. Plus, we're the home state school. I wonder if that staff member we have from St Paul's coached him in high school
