A better record and some signature wins? As of now you have a few nice wins like UK and UT, but those teams are a shell of what they have been lately. There aren't any "WOW" wins. Couple that with 7 losses including a few real head scratchers and you shouldn't be ranked.

I don't think Alabama is one of the best 25 teams in the country, so it makes sense to me they aren't ranked.
Sagarin has Alabama at 55. That may not be perfectly accurate, but it's probably not 30 spots off.

Two years ago, we were what, 12-4 in the SEC and still settled for the NIT? The SEC is in basketball what the Big 10 is in football.

In all fairness, the team two years ago got screwed. They deserved a tourney bid. Otherwise, you are right on.

Bama will be ranked when Grant decides to teach these guys what the purpose of basketball is: to put the ball through the hoop.
Which means: not this year.
Even if we run the table, Bama MAY crack the top 25 with a late season win over a Florida team. However, the probability of Alabama running the table up to the Florida game is virtually nil, even with the fact Bama will play all shitty teams up to that point.
