- Arkansas actually talked their way into getting five star recruits onto their campus?

Were these players coerced or otherwise held against their will?

-Did any of Tennessee's five star recruits within the past 10 years actually pan out? It must be awful to 'win' on National Signing Day but lose at everything else.

Zeke Pike or Keihl Frazier, take your pick.

Pike was a consensus 3* by the end of it all iirc

For some reason I think Frazier was a 3* on one, 4* on one, and 5* on one, but I don't particularly care to look that up

He was a 5* on scout. They were respectable at the time.

Here are Auburn's. Haven't been that many over the past 10 years really (going back to 2003).

1. Trey Blackmon - Was decent. Contributed at times. Won the 2006 UF game, the only game they lost that year.

2. Raven Gray - Terrible. Showed up to practice, was a failure and transferred. That was after going JUCO.

3. Brandon Jacobs - Stuck behing Ronnie and Carnel

4. Greg Smith - Didn't qualify then signed somewhere else after a year in JUCO. FSU?

5. Shon Coleman - Cancer. We will see what happens this year.

6. Dyer - All know the story.

7. Cam - Grand slam.

8. Kris Frost - We will see.

So 8 five stars the past 10 years and honestly only 1 of them, Cam lived up to his rating. Dyer too, but he only played 1 year. Smith and Gray were the only two real "busts" though and sorta just Gray as Smith couldn't ever stay qualified.

Not sure what site your looking at, but Frazier was a 4* on rivals and Pike ended up being a 3*.

You could call Dyer a bust, but his first two seasons were pretty solid.

Looking back to 2002 on rivals, since it's the ranking service that goes back that far(and no one really cares about scout or espn), the 5*'s we've gotten that actually made it on campus were Ben Obamanu(NFL), Brandon Jacobs(NFL, but he transferred out to N Ill), Tray Blackmon(CFL I think), Shon Coleman(TBD, but obviously cancer gets him a pass), Dyer(left the team), Newton(NFL) and Kris Frost(TBD).

Raven Gray, Greg Smith and Jermaine Johnson all signed with us but never made it into school.

We have signed 19 five stars over the last 10 years.

Robert Meachem, Jesse Mahelona, Eric Berry, and Cordarrelle Patterson are the only four to go from Tennessee to the NFL.

Bryce Brown and soon to be Da'Rick are the other two who have made it to the league.

The other 13 have been total busts with the exception of Janzen Jackson and Gerald Riggs, Jr.

Unbelievable to have 11 5* busts in a 10-year period.

I thought he never made it in to school. Either way, he never played a down.

Yeah, that's right

Pike was a 3* on Rivals, ESPN, and 247; he was a 4* on Scout

Frazier was a 4* on Rivals, ESPN, and 247; he was a 5* on Scout

Auburn bump much?
