Article on In-Home visit with CBJ & Staff during MLK day

UT was long thought to be well behind UA & OSU for picking up Bell, but CBJ apparently made a big statement by bringing the entire Def. side of the staff as well as himself yesterday. Another huge thing is the kid grew up a die hard VOL and still is. Gonna be interesting to see how this plays out, IMO UT pulls it out late in the game, then again HOMERISM isn't always the best trait

What makes you believe they aren't still behind? Him saying they're all even means nothing. Most of the time whatever comes out of the recruits mouth means nothing.

I've also read separate articles today that made Ohio State and Bama look good for landing him.
Personally, I think UT has too much ground to make up with the new staff. He's been visiting Bama a lot since the fall, so I think he'll wind up at Bama.

At this point it's more like Saban vs Childhood dream who just happened to fire the worst coach in UT history and has a chance at a fresh start. I like our chances. It seems like the kid is giving UT every possible opp. to show him something. When two of the best football teams in the country offer/ have the HC's throwing everything they can at him and he still holds out for the hometown team, IMO that says something.

Anything can happen but Vonn Bell had a really good visit to ttown this past weekend. I think we have a good shot to land him.

It's nice to be competing with Alabama for recruits again. That said, I'd be surprised if he puts on an Orange cap.

about how well his visit went, tweets from his host, factoring in the distance from home, and recent commit and high school friend Ryan Jenkins trying to recruit him heavily to UT & apparently his Parents and Trainer are pretty high on the Volunteers ( who knows how valid that is though )
Also the fact that they painted about his and other recruits visit on "The Rock" multiple times I think stood out to him.. But who knows

Some people show faith through buying off recruits and getting busted in the process. We prefer the simpler shout out on the rock for the win

I do too. Flipping Dontre Wilson from Oregon (fingers crossed) would ease the sting of losing Bell. Late January recruiting is crazy at Ohio State now. I don't think the staff sleeps. (insert Urban's going to burn out and leave jokes now)
