Just a reminder to everyone that former players do not count.

The last year those players played was 2011 and 2009, why even post that? I mean if george rogers got a DUI I don't think it would be worth mentioning in a 2013 suspension thread.

advanced trolling maneuver success, I guess. Trolled UGA on the USC board, got a bite.
j/k. Really I just didn't want to start a new thread about it, but thought it was interdasting, but no worries, I don't think it's cereal.

Guys (and Carolina Girl), I'm going to need a ruling here about the Ty Flourney Smith suspension/dismissal.
Q: What was TFS dismissed for?
He got in trouble in Feb for the false reporting of the "stolen" textbooks, which he was arrested for.
Now he got in trouble with admitting to smoking weed on May 15th, and this past week, he was told to transfer from the team (in my mind, that's dismissal.)
Therefor, can we agree that Ty was dismissed from the team for Violation of Team Rules? I don't know if they are actually going to drug test him, since he admitted to smoking weed.

I'm all for it since it currently fits into the scheme of the earlier threads bet.

I think most are in agreement that he was advised to transfer to get his head in order....he's probably done as a UGA Bulldog, in truth, but they aren't telling him that. I would agree with your premise that he was dismissed....both of those offenses are suspension worthy, easily...

Damn. Of course he's just suspended the first game but its against Clemson. Would rather him not be suspended at all if he's still gonna play against us.

I feel like this is his 2nd offense though. Did he get tested after he was arrested in the car with Crowell last year?
I wouldn't put it past Richt to say he was suspended for the clemson game, but then carry that on the next week and not tell anyone. Last year they came up with the policy to not announce suspensions. Although, wouldn't them announcing he's been suspended for the uping game contradict that new policy?

I agree that I would rather him just play if it's only going to be for the Clemson game.

Maybe when he comes back for the SC game he'll play extra hard like he's got something to prove.

Anyone find it odd that both players suspended have hyphenated last names?
Flournoy-Smith
Harvey-Clemons
And why was Flournoy-Smith advised to go to juco? Is this a reoccuring thing for this guy? I'm personally not familiar with him.
From my understanding it's only his second.

This is true. They also have
Justin Scott-Wesley

This was his 2nd offense in 3 months, so I guess the coaches advised him to go JUCO, b/c he was just being a bad apple. I think when the cops reported that Ty had bags and a scale, they knew what was up and don't want a drug dealer on the team anymore.
