Cool. In my head I decided I was gonna come in and do a massive positional breakdown for UGA/SC but I don't have near enough time to do that today. Maybe sometime later this week, or the next time I get drunk.

https://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2013/story/_/id/8956303/report-alec-ogletree-former-georgia-bulldogs-linebacker-arrested-dui

Just to be clear, Alec Ogletree's DUI arrest does NOT count towards this thread since he has already declared for the draft and won't be at UGA next year.

It's still funny, though. Wonder how far his draft stock will drop.

Probably not far. Remember Dre Kirkpatrick got busted with 20 grams of weed.

Their TE, Flourney Smith, was arrested last night for...falsely reporting a crime.

Remember though, this doesn't count YET, as he has to be officially suspended. I'm just posting it to remind myself that he might be suspended later.

Apparently this has been a big problem from students and locals around Athens over the years.

And every other school, since the beginning of time.

Bama actually got NCAA sanctions because the AD was endorsing it.

Stupid kid thinks he can sell his textbooks to the used book store, then file a police report saying they were stolen.

In most schools, you can get away with that.

Not at UGA.

The police department has nothing better to do than pull all the security camera tapes from all the used bookstores to see if this guy's story adds up.

Bro don't be the guy that bitches because he got caught. You know damned well if he was at any other school you wouldn't say one word about the Fuzz having nothing better to do. He's an idiot plane and simply and if he were in Garnett and Black I'd say the same thing. Also yall don't know shitzky about a crooked as local to campus "law enforcement" community hunting down your players. The only place with that luxury is Pickens County.

By the way, he's the 3rd string TE, behind Lynch and Rome, in case that makes any difference.

Unless Bobo was working on some 3 TE sets, he could be suspended for the whole year and it wouldn't make any difference at all.

Flourney may not be suspended after all as Richt is handling his situation internally.

LIGHTNING ROUND!!

We enter UGA's Spring Break now. This week alone could make or break many predictions.

Zander Ogletree was reported earlier this year as failing a 3rd drug test, but now reports have him as simply choosing to leave the team. Flourny Smith had the false reporting of a crime, but has yet to suspended and Richt said he's handling the crime internally.

Boy ain't that the truth. This week is hell on our fanbase. You just KNOW somebody is gonna frick up. The one thing that does give me some slight hope is that by and large this seems to be a "good" team. What I mean is we don't have a Crowell, or Ogletree, or Knowshon this year it seems like. People like Murray, Gurley, etc seem to really be leaders of this team that hopefully people will listen to. One of our best recruits in this past class (who will likely start at safety as a true freshman) tweeted about not going on SB and getting ready for clemson instead. Murray is in oklahoma working with a QB coach. Just seems like a different crop of guys from years past.

However, even with all that said..we're still UGA so somebody will probably get caught with weed.

It doesn't help that Richt gives additional drugs tests, above and beyond what is required by the conference and NCAA. Not only does he give more drug tests, the official punishments at UGA for failing are the strictest in the conference, ahead of even Vandy and Kentucky. If I recall correctly, we are actually the only SEC school that suspends for the first offense of failing a drug test. It's ridiculous.

Well, I guess some good news for you guys is that Spring Break is almost over and there haven't been any reports of arrests. Now if they do the drug tests next week, like they did last year, then that could prove to possibly be a problem for some guys.

Did y'all ever find the guy who authorized them to do drug testing right after spring break last year...and run him out of town? I was shocked that they did that, but it might be more commonplace than I thought to do testing right after spring break.
