Honestly, who cares what some guy on the internet says? He is on the team, is an incredible player, and didn't get yall into any recruiting trouble.

The kid had a lot of work to do in the classroom to be qualified. LSU felt it was not worth it to wait on him. Bama stuck with him. Happens all the time, especially in positions of need for certain teams. Hell, look at Mcneil this year. I just hope the magic academic fairy helps him out for LSU.

We like to think these kids are more to just meat to schools. Being dumb as a rock is such an abrasive and hurtful insult.

At Arkansas, we pride ourselves on treating children with dignity, respect and hold their academic futures in the highest regard. I wish all SEC schools could follow our lead. It takes a village - nay - COMMUNITY to contribute to the lives of our brother's sons. Paradigm shifts start with you, good SEC fan.

I just find it hilarious that dumbshits like stapuff, who looks like an aids patient, thinks LSU and Bama have different admission standards.

You can think whatever you want, but the structure of the system doesn't change the truth of what these boys mean to schools.

What I find more insulting is what all universities do to patronize these young men.

I find this funny considering the state of Arkansas is the 3rd worst state in the Union for education.

No. The shift starts from the top, where the money is made.

Guys, not everyone is college material or should be in college in the first place. Nothing wrong with working on cars, houses, or attending non-engineering tech. schools to improve your life. It does not mean your dumb, just that your abilities are different. This kid has physical talent on the football field and I'm happy he got a chance to showcase it. Good for him - for it will pay off for him soon.

I think this is what Saban means by impacting kid's lives. You can't be a part of such a success story in the pros. And you can tell Saban really likes the kid and has always gushed (even when trich & mark was around) when talking about him.

He's also not better than anything we already have. He made the right choice in schools. He went somewhere he could actually get PT.

I'm not reading the thread but here are the facts:

- A guidance counselor at Lacy's high school told LSU coaches and compliance folks to not waste their time. He had zero shot at qualifying and didn't care about it at the time.
- Lacy also had some unpublicized legal issues that were hanging over him.
- The LSU staff did keep in touch with him throughout the process but never actively recruited him.

He had a pulse, which is all it takes at LSU. LSU just didn't want to wait on him to get eligible. Big gamble and big loss on their part imo.

Admitting to having sex with a 14 year old and probation wasnt a character concern for a current RB.

Pretty sure Hill had to take a year off in order to get that situation straight before he was allowed to go to LSU...

Don't act like Bama is above cheating. Also ,I've never heard of a student/ athlete making up 7 classes in one month. Have you?
