1 loss SEC team > undefeated from other conference?

No. I know it sucks but you can't have one loss and call yourself better than an undefeated team from a major conf.
Lets be real. Bama did NOT play a hard schedule either.

It wasn't the toughest but beating LSU and Georgia solidified them. Notre Dame had no marquee wins, None!

The precedent is: SEC Champion > any team from any other conference. Unless that conference is the SEC.

It will be up to the voters.

Listen, they'll soon reach a point where, if they cannot beat our Champion they'll simply vote our Champion out.

Thing is, the last chance they'll have to do that is this coming season.

Playoff begins in 2014 and even the voters will not be able to exclude our best two after that.
