Print the Shirts! According to this LINK
quote:

The Journal said today that Auburn is the sixth most valuable football program in the nation, checking in a cool $508.1 million. Alabama is eighth at $476 million. You know, almost a billion dollars, total.

quote:

The Journal says Ryan Brewer, an assistant professor of finance at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus, calculated the value of the programs based on each program's revenues and expenses and made cash-flow adjustments, risk assessments and growth projections for each school.

Says the Journal: "The resulting figures represent what the teams might fetch if they could be bought and sold like pro franchises."

Guess fake national titles only get you so far

Might want to check those numbers again...nuff said.

So is that in Indiana or Ohio? Is this even a real school?

As a fan who neither gains nor loses from the monetary value of my University, I'd rather compete like a winner and have less value than be more valued and be less competitive.

I guess as an Auburn fan, you have to take moral victories where you can.

Too bad fake "expected value" calculations can't land you more titles. Or SEC championships. Or even a proven head coach, for that matter.

Is Auburn paying people to write about them because they have become so irrelevant?

Congrats. That's a lot more than I would pay for your dumpster fire, but I can certainly understand your taking solace wherever you can find it these days.

Let's go with something better, like Forbes.

LSU leads all SEC programs at #4. Not that that means much; right behind us are Georgia (#5), Alabama (#6), Florida (#7), Auburn (#8), Tennessee (#9) and Arkansas (#10). Not a lot of wiggle room.
