Funny. Nobody calls Navy the "golden domers." 
I think the SEC has some great helmets. Bama, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Arkansas -- all classic. A&M and Vandy are sharp too, and I like State's new look. But among those first six, you can debate back and forth.

Eh, I have to disagree. They are pretty recognizable, but as I said, they are very similar to the old LA Rams helmets before they changed to the blue and gold.
There is nothing like the Crimson with the white numbers.

Yeah because of the nick name, I now see Navy as wearing bright orange helmets instead.

Funny. You can sit a Navy helmet and a Notre Dame helmet side by side and nobody can tell the difference unless you get so close you can see the team name in tiny letters somewhere, if they even have that.

Alabama DOES NOT, repeat, DOES NOT have the most recognizable helmets in college football. So what if the Michigan helmets look like the old helmets worn by the LA Rams? They lack originality but that doesn't mean their helmets can't be the most recognizable in college football. I'd also wager Texas has more recognizable helmets than Alabama, too.

Read somewhere that the old Rams helmets used to get confused with Michigan's all the time, but not usually the other way 'round.
That winged helmet is the cleanest lid in football, IMO. Only one I like better is A&M's black helmet from the miss. st. game, but I know I'm biased on that one

I actually think Kentucky has the best helmet in the SEC. Their metallic blue is nice.
