getting rid of Wilson would be a tremendous blow to recruiting
You can't keep a coordinator just bc of his recruiting value. A position coach? Yes. A coordinator? No.

If it means losing Chris Jones, I think you can

Say what you want, but I don't want Wilson fired.

I'd say demote him to just DL coach and let him keep the Co-DC title and let Collins call plays.

No way he's accept this demotion. He's start looking around (rumor is, he already is).

Collins is to Wilson what he was to Diaz, right? Everyone bolstered Wilson after the Manny departure. He really hasn't done anything better or worse.. The real problem is the deteriorating Offense IMO. After seeing Les call some plays 3 times in a row in damn near EVERY game this year it's getting old.. Anybody remember Russell trying back to back QB sneaks in the 2nd Qtr of the LSU game? WTF?? Les doesn't adjust to defensive changes or lopsided matchups well.. Just saying.. Offense is 80% of the problem right now..

I think we should keep Wilson 1 more year. His defense wasn't too bad in 2011. 2012 it was but I think that had more to do with Dline not living up to expectations. We have some very good Dline talent coming up and I think he deserves one more chance. I think we should just promote Collins to be more involved with play calling as a Co DC. We cannot afford to lose Chris Jones to OM either. We already likely lost Kailo. That would look bad on us and OM has enough momentum right now, plus I don't want to hear more of their shite.

It's not even a contest. Jones is a dawg. He is surrounded in Houston by State people.
