Tsao guy for ND (or whatever his name is) is going to get curb stomped by our RB's.

How many top rushing teams has Bama faced? Not many. ND will be one of the best rushing attacks that Bama has faced

LSU
UGA
A&M
Michigan

ND has small running backs; no bruisers. They are gonna have a hard time running the ball. But a pick part of their offense is running the ball early and getting their QB into 3rd and manageable. Its gonna be tough sledding for ND. I think they might try to pass on first down a lot more, ala Bama in the BCSCG last year. But I dont know if their QB and WRs can shoulder that load.

Anyone remember Shaud Williams? Back in the day when he would go up against the bigger defenses like LSU and UT, he would get annihilated. Same thing is gonna happen to the Theo.

By the numbers, ND has a better running attack than LSU, Georgia, and Michigan. Not saying that ND will gain a ton of yards on the ground, but they are probably the best running attack (RBs and experienced OL) that Bama has faced as well. Also, Golson is a threat to run. I don't think a bruiser would be effective against Bama given the size of their front 7. I think smaller, quicker backs might give Bama more trouble than a big, thumper type back.

Youre smoking crack if you actually believe that ND has a better running attack than LSU, UGA, or A&M.

All the talk about the offenses ND has played this season. Whos Bama really played with a good offense? Oh A&M. And what was the result of that one?

You do realize that the vast majority of people, including an immobile Vegas line, believes Alabama is gonna win, right?

Well hell why even play the game if Bama is a favorite.

Notre Dame's starting front 7 is legit. Their nose tackle Nix is the key, despite all the attention heaped upon Teo. Also, they have an absolute stud at DE, Stephon Tuitt.

The problem for ND is I don't think they have the same caliber players on the second string. ND will be able to bottle Bama up for a half.

During that half, they better hope they somehow grab the lead because if Bama has the lead, they will simply wear ND's front 7 down in the second half.

The only time I remember a RB giving the Bama defense serious problems in the last five years is Marcus Lattimore in 2010. Almost all of Bama's losses have been due to really efficient play from the opposing QB.

Hill had a pretty good game this year, despite the loss. His little hop at the end of runs was cracking me up.

I give more credit to the LSU offensive line than Hill. LSU has always run the ball effectively against Bama no matter who their RB is because of their massive offensive line.

ND's offensive numbers are better than I thought, for an offensive that has been very conservative during the year with a FR QB. Their red zone offense kept scoring down a bit. The key will be whether ND can score TDs instead of FGs in the red zone. If they can't punch it in when they get in the red zone, Bama will win.

Take a look at some of the rushing defenses ND played against, though:

58 Michigan
59 USC
72 Wake Forest
80 Navy
82 Purdue
83 Oklahoma
113 Boston College
114 Miami
