Accomplishments

Holds the Tennessee record for sacks in a game, season, and career.

SEC Player of the Year, All-American, All-SEC

13 Pro Bowls, 10 times All-Pro, 2 time NFL defensive player of the year, 1980's All NFL team Starter, 1990's All NFL team Starter, 75th Anniversary All - Time NFL team Starter. First Ballot NFL Hall of Fame.

Ranked the Number 7 Football player of all time by the NFL Network



His Number 92 has been retired at Tennessee, Green Bay, and Philadelphia.

Great player and person, but don't do this to this thread by stating he was the best in SEC history. That simply is not true. You should have just did a memorial thread.

I got the chance to meet him when I was a trainer and he had come in to scout some kids for the Packers. Just a really down to earth, genuine guy. I was pretty heartbroken when he passed.

Reggie was a great player, but hardly the best the SEC has ever seen......

Bo and Herschel are two that come to mind. There are others.

Reggie was a hell of a player and an even greater guy, but his career at Tennessee would not have indicated the type of career he had in the NFL.

as previously said, I agree you can argue "greatest college player" blah, blah, blah. That's why I simply said 'Greatest Football Player'
