Where does their run , from 08-present,rank as far as CFB program's runs? IMO, which is all that matters, I'd have to put it top 5. To do what Bama has done today, with all the parity in the SEC and CFB, it's nothing short of amazing. Also to do it in the hardest division , in the hardest conference is even more impressive. So where does it rank in your eyes?

Just below Nebraska's run from 1993-1997. The Cornhuskers were 60-3 during that time frame.

I'd put it on par with LSUs from 1958 to 2007.

I'd say top 3, even with the media assited backing in mulligan last year.

I think the 95 Nebraska team is the greatest in the history of football, at least since the end of leather helmets.
That being said, IF Alabama were to win it this year, I think it would be the greatest 4 or 5 year run ever. The fact that the BCS exists and guarantees that the top team plays an outstanding opponent makes a huge difference (maybe not guaranteed the second best, but a HELL of a lot better than some of the Rose Bowl opponents in the past...or no bowl at all, like the Irish).

First or second, the only other team with say in it is Nebraska when they won 3 out of 4.

Not jinxing. You won't lose to that shite team. Your oline is gonna expose that overrrated front seven. Lacy will truck Manti twice and spin move him 4 times in the first half.

Damn, forgot that Nebraska's run was in the BCS era. Would have to look a little closer.

It was just before the BCS era.

Yeah, I keep getting the beginning of the BCS and the beginning of the SECC confused, for some reason.
Nebraska played legit opponents, but they did share 98 with Michigan, right? And in 2009, Alabama beat basically two straight championship level teams - Florida and Texas - back to back.
