I think JR was definitely a much better passer and was just hitting his stride when he left LSU, but no way you can put him over Manziel.

None of your pictures are showing up

Yeah oddly they all were showing for about 30 minutes and then just broke, not really tempted to alter it anymore.

Are you a Florida fan? Rex Grossman was unstoppable in college.

5 points separated that 2001 Florida team from being the greatest Florida team ever. That offense was unstoppable.

Stafford has done better than any UF quarterback has ever done in the NFL.

FWIW, Cam Newton was a UF quarterback

I realize that the post had to do with the last 20 years, but.....
there were some pretty dang good ones before 1990....

Joe Namath, Charlie Conerly, Fran Tarkenton, Snake Stabler, Archie Manning, Steve Spurrier.....and the list goes on and on...

Johnny Manziel is a dang good one. I watched him against Ole Miss in Oxford. I have seen Tebow, Cam, Eric Zeir, Eli, Archie, and Freddie Kitchens in that stadium. He is a good one. Might end up being the best. I want to see how the SEC adjusts to him next season before I proclaim him the best.

What the frick are you talking about? Manziel almost single-handedly beat Bama. He also made a bunch of plays in the fourth quarter of the Ole Miss game to beat them after being down by 10 points in the 4th quarter. And Tee Martin, Matt Flynn, Greg McElroy, Jay Barker wouldn't have won squat without a great supporting cast carrying them when they struggled which was quite often.

Regardless of excuses - first year starter, first SEC game, etc. - he did not lead wins against LSU and Florida. Those games matter, too. Was he unquestionably the leader of a team that far outperformed their expectations? No doubt. Give the kid more time and he will no doubt go down as a great, but even Tebow had to have 08 and 09 to cement his place in SEC history. As I've already said, by stats alone, Manziel has to be top 10 or knocking on the door.

You are way underselling the affect of these QBs that have won titles. Sure they relied on supporting casts in a lot of ballgames, but if it was only about supporting casts LSU would be going for like a 5-peat right now.
