Not saying he is a "system QB" per se, just saying that the reason he is even in NY is due to massive stat numbers, and quite frankly those come from playing in a system designed to get him the majority of touches and a lot of snaps. I am not saying he isn't incredible talented- he is, but to be honest with you, as effective as running QBs are, I have always been less impressed by big rushing numbers for athletic QBs- there is a decided schematic advantage for a rushing QB, considering most defenses are set up to not really cover the QB in space with blocking. However, it is the Heisman so who really gives a rat's arse?

Te'o just benefitted from teams deciding to throw the ball. He never would get interceptions If other teams run the ball 100% of the time!

Te'o is not even that great. I think voters should get this one right and make up for the mistake they made in 1980 by not giving it to the best player in college football. JFF hands down had the best season by any player this year, especially against an SEC schedule. If Te'o was on some teams like a UGA, Bama, LSU, or UF I don't see him being the best player on the team, defense, or even the LB spot for any of those teams. He is RIDICULOUSLY overrated. I bet if his grandma and girlfriend didn't die and/or he didn't play on the most overrated sports team in America, he would not be in any contention for any awards, let alone the Heisman.

If you truly believe Manziel is the most deserving Heisman winner, either all time or just this year, you haven't read the Mission Statement for the Heisman Trust.

Arrested for a bar fight that was the result of a racial insult, lying to police to avoid additional charges, failing to respond to the challenge posed by better competition, failing to lead in traditional QB stats, etc... Yep - sounds like the greatest of all time! If there was even one viable candidate this season, Johnny Felon would be a runner up.

You mad bro.

And your first sentence was either a lie or a result of not knowing what happened.

What part of my first sentence are you referring to? The part about a racial insult being the cause of his barroom brawl? It was widely reported. Racism in the 21st Century

By the majority I assume you mean 100%? Which is different than any other QB how, exactly?

BobABooey: If you ever wonder why so many people dislike LSU, go take a look in the mirror. There's your answer.

To the OP: I'm of course pulling for Johnny, but that's a pretty high standard you've set with that question. I'd have to give that one to, in no particular order, Herschel, Earl, or Cam. JM has less competition and I understand that's the basis for your question, but I'd still say those three were more obvious choices.

So I'm the bad guy for having an opinion based on facts? Facts that are largely being ignored by a "little brother" fanbase starved for validation and attention?

Another fact - if you want to know who supports one of the dirtiest programs in NCAA history, go look in a mirror.

So a bar extends 2-3 miles down the street now? You're really reaching here.

Just because he beat alabama, that makes him more deserving?? You are a fricking homer.

And you sir, are a fricking hater.

But if you can show me in the TAMU/BAMA stat line where Johnny amassed 4,600 yards and 43 TDs I'll gladly consider your post as something other than hot garbage.

Yes, let it flow.

Let the annoyance and confusion that little brother flipped the script perpetuate through your body.

Tells us more.
