For Ole Miss, not really a play, but the Alabama game. Granted the score was 33-14 the other way, but in a game where we were supposed to get royally smoked after giving up 66 to Texas, we played Alabama very well, and competed for most of the football game. That game forward, I don't think there was a single game on the schedule we felt like we couldn't win.

Bray's intentional grounding against the Gators.

When UT missed the extra point, it seemed like the air just went out of Neyland.

Ole Miss lines up in shotgun formation and attempts a 4th and 1 inch conversion from their own 40 up 4 points with just over 3 minutes left. Jeff Scott gets blown up for a loss and A&M goes on to win.

Its more like a play I want over but the turnover with 43 seconds left in first half against LSU when we turned it over and then game up a td before halftime. We had done great that entire half and then trailed. Ratfarts

The opening kickoff of the Vandy game. 18,500 in attendance. Forced a coaching change.
The 40-0 defeat didn't hurt either..

Petrino wide right on rural hwy. Fumbled a blonde. Promptly recovered by NW ark media and exposed. Trying to go deep on JD and ended up wrecking our season.
I remember that. What a play!
Could have been overturned.

In hindsight AJ's drive at end of game. Difference between ATL invite or not.

Rambo intercepting Driskel in the endzone just before halftime, and of course Jarvis forcing the fumble at the end of the game. It kept the lead in our favor and turned the way our season was heading around.

3rd 00:51 GA - Marlon Brown 11 yd pass from Aaron Murray (Marshall Morgan kick)
5 plays, 72 yards, TOP 1:41, GA 24 - MU 20
Stayed pretty strong until that point. All downhill from there.

Joker Phillips and Mitch calling the beat down at Arky because "the kids were hungry.".
I know he is gone, but here is a to Joker and his sandwiches.

quote:Fluker was a borderline 1 rounder before this game. After it, he cemented himself in the 1st round. He is gone now.
On the drive immediately following the blocked field goal, Bama gets the ball back down 11 with 6:31 to play in the 3rd. Start off with a run to the right for about 4 yards. Fluker is the only one on the right side to make his block, Steen and Jones got no push on the play and are standing around after the play with their hands on their hips. Fluker turns around and just lights into them, fired up, stomping around and yelling, trying to get everyone pumped back up. The next play the right side of the line, Jones/Steen/Fluker absolutely bulldozes the Georgia front to spring Yeldon for a 31 yard gain up the middle. Fluker was an absolute monster from there on out, leading the team to 144 yards rushing on their next 14 carries as the team outscored Georgia 22-7 in the last 20 minutes of the game. Sometimes we overrate the emotional side of football, but that was the turning point of the game for me. Saved Bama's season.

Ole Miss game. After having 6 turnovers we were down 27 -17. JFF avoided barely avoided safety on 1st down sack by sticking ball out of the endzone as his knee went down. Ags faced with 3rd and 19 from our own 3 yard line with about 7:30 left in the game.
My "turning point" play of the year - JFF hits Mike Evans for 32 yards and a first down.
Yessir, have to agree. Without that play we might be looking at 7-5 right now. I was there with plenty of old classmates, all disgusted with our turnover fest but still clinging to hope that Johnny would do something crazy good. And he obliged.
The other thing that stood out about that game to me was us walking peacefully to our cars afterwards. After a while it hit us all at the same time and we looked at each other...
"You know what this would be like if..."
"... yeah, if this game was in..."
"... Lubbock? Yeah, I know."
Good time at Ole Miss, win or not.

Shawn Williams calling out the D. That HAS to be the turning point. You could also say his 4th and 1 neck tackle that broke the UF WR's arm and pretty much backed up his words.
