Any idea how much the total coaching budget for Petrino's staff was? It seems like this staff would be much higher...

Any idea how much the total coaching budget for Petrino's staff was?

The cumulative total for the Razorbacks' assistants last season was just more than $2.6 million. LINK

eta: also from the article...

quote:

In all, Arkansas' full-time assistant coaches have a cumulative salary of $2.8 million for next season with one hire yet to be made.

quote:

Arkansas isn't the only school upping the ante for its new coaches in the Southeastern Conference. Tennessee, which hired Butch Jones as its new head football coach last month, will pay its nine assistant coaches a cumulative total of $3.085 million next season, according to a report Thursday in the Chattanooga Times Free Press, up from $2.975 million last season.

so tenner spends more and yet we hire better coaches, interdasting...

So, with the money we saved by Petrino being a dumbass, that means this awesome staff works for "free" for one year.

I'll take it.

That sir is a great way to look at it. Please take this over the HV and let the CBP Lovers mull this over.

I'd rather not give them the opportunity to spin it into another bullet point into how great of a coach he is.

Screw it, a Petrino, Long, Horton slight and 2beez troll on HiV all in one is too good of an opportunity to pass up.

Herbert is banking for a S&C coach. They think very highly of him.

Here's my marketing/capitalistic mind at work. UA marketing and Coach Herbert should create a DVD series specifically for football training. Ala a p90x or Insanity type of editing style, a high energy breakdown of workouts, drills, and just all the stuff it takes to be a high level D1 athlete. Cardio, meal planning, supplements, etc.

Stonehog, lets put our heads together and make us some bank while putting this killer recruiting tool for the university out on the market.
