Coach K stops by occasionally at a local establishment in Fayetteville, where sometimes I can be found. He has a couple of beers, then leaves.
I didn't bring the subject up, he did. He loves Arkansas and the Razorback football program.
IMO, he's gone.

He needs to be able to teach something other than the O-line.
He's kinda a little guy, played LB. I've always been curious why he wasn't given a chance to be OC when Garrick left. I kinda figured that was Petrino's deal with him.
He was pretty successful as an OC both times at Nevada and did pretty well at Southern Miss too.
If he wasn't a Carroll College Clique member I'd want him kept on staff, but he's a Carroll boy so he's got to go.

Because Paul was on the unemployment line after getting everyone fired up at Illinois...

Looks like only one coach will be retained on the sidelines and one put in administration role.

Let me guess....
Allen to the administration role.
Horton to stay on staff per RF request.

Saddens me.
I was curious if Horton was ever going to have to answer for or be accountable for all the fumbling issues the RB's have had since he's been on staff.

I'd rather not to be honest.
I posted the other day in a thread, but we are pretty sad about the chance of the People's leaving. Both great people.
Most should come out tomorrow.

I respect that. It's a pity the way things worked out for those that were only here last season - Bobby screwed them, too.

Hawgeye you heard anything about Jay Norvell being a candidate for OC? I know there have been some rumors passed around on some other boards that he was.
He is the Co-OC at Oklahoma and recruits Texas and Oklahoma and pulls some good skill postion players. He single handedly pulled in their WR class last year.
Jay Norvell

that is why i think petrino will hav ehell getting ... an AD out there will take a chance on him until they try to put together a staff and it's not happening. I mean he royally burned down the london bridge with the coaching fraternity.
really his best bet if he were serious, is to take an OC job.t he fact that he won't humble himself to do such shows me all i need to know about him at this point

He's not done as a head coach, but it will be a long time, if ever, before he gets a gig that he actually wants. He may have to take the NFL OC route and work his way back into a HC gig. I don't think a lot of people realize how big of a career killer his incident was.

A source close to the University of Wisconsin football program, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he is not cleared to speak on such matters, said the only assistant former Badgers coach Bret Bielema asked to go with him to Arkansas was defensive coordinator Chris Ash.
