If we were to expand to the Big 7 who would it be?

USCe? They've been pretty strong with SOS but their overall history has been terrible.
Ark? Have the been in the SEC long enough?
A and M? Brand new but off to a great start.
Mizzou?
Ole Miss? Might have the best history of the rest and Freeze seems to have them on the right path.
MSU? Can Merlins keep grind'n long enough to get them to Atlanta?
Vandy? Excellent history from the early days. CJF has them to back to back bowls for the first time. Can he get them to take the next step?
UK? Until they commit to football like they do basketball they'll be irrelevant.

Ole Miss would have been in the Big 6 long ago, and Florida wouldn't. So I guess they're next in line
Excellent point.

To be fair it hasn't been terrible. Just extremely mediocre. (near .500 record)

Don't you mean the Magnificent 7?

Doesn't make sense until another team wins the SEC in the SEC Championship Game era.
So right now it shouldn't be larger than the Big 6. Probably makes more sense to drop it to the Big 5 (since UT hasn't won the conference since 98), than expand to the Big 6. But UT still probably has enough historical success to fit comfortably in the Big 6. Another 5 years like the last 5 and that position will be getting more precarious though.

I can see that. I was thinking more along the lines of bowl games and conf championships.

Do not want to be in your dick grabbing club.. even after we take home a few championships.
Arky would be ecstatic though. Talk to them.

Ole Miss definitely was part of the club back in the day, but several decades w/o winning an SEC championship got their privileges revoked.
I'd say that A&M and Arkansas are the most likely candidates. Good historical success, and they have a realistic chance of winning a conference championship sometime.
However, until someone wins the SECCG it will remain the Big Six.

you definitelty need an SEC title to qualify imo

Honestly, I thought that would be the biggest draw for A&M.

none of those 8 are worthy of expansion of the Big 6
but if it was forced it has to be a original member sorry
so probably Ole Miss but just don't expand

Arkansas is 6th in the league in all time wins
3 appearances in Atlanta
BCS Bowl
Historically
13 Conference titles
1 National Title
Head to head leads over aTm, Ole Miss, and USCe

Isn't the 7th team just going to be the next one to win the BCSNC?
