Not buying it. This wasn't a coaching search to find the best man for the job, this was a sham to give JJ cover and save his job. Has anyone ever heard of a school naming it's 2 most beloved players to "search committee", one of which is currently a HC at a school that is still playing football? When exactly did Pat Sullivan have time to go looking for a coach? They didn't seriously look for anyone. Patterson wasn't interviewed, same with Petrino, Strong and Fisher. These clowns just threw some money at Gus, because it was the easy thing to do. Jacob's is banking on catching lightning in a bottle twice with Gus.

pfffft there is nothin I would love more than for auburn to be a powerhouse with malzahn. do I think it will happen? hell no. I'm a realistic person
but if he does truly turn us a round (not a seasonal 8 win team, but actually turns auburn around) I will eat my crow all day here. y'all can start whole threads on how fricking stupid I am and never let me live it down
