Thank y'all so very much for involving yourselves in Vandy's affairs and telling us what we can and cannot achieve. In the meantime, with your permission of course, we will continue to build on our recent football success and we will continue to beat the Cats in basketball like no one else can, and of course we will make our plans to attend this years CWS.

P.S. As I understand it Buttchug University is going broke and faces multiple lawsuits. You are also 3-17 against Alabama and Florida the last 10 years. Perhaps you should make no comments regarding Vanderbilt until you can put your on house in order.

There's no way the basketball team you are putting on the court this year will stay within 10 of Kentucky.

But I do love your enthusiasm for Vanderbilt and your willingness to throw punches with the rest of the SECr.

Before you condescend to Vanderbilt, you need to have a winning record against us.

I'm not condescending head-to-head football records. I never said anything about AU v Vandy football. We can go many different ways about comparing programs if that's truly what you'd like to get into.

Pay attention... HERE'S WHAT I DID SAY:
After watching your basketball team against Davidson, you won't hang with Kentucky. Geez.

He's done an impressive job at Vanderbilt, I see him jumping ship for a powerhouse program like TCU or Baylor. 8 wins at Vanderbilt is an amazing feat, 8 wins at Baylor or TCU (or Texas Tech for that matter) is to be expected, and anything less is intolerable. Just imagine what he could do at Baylor with the recruiting ability we have.

Woah when did Baylor become this big bad arse powerhouse? I'd say Vandy is a better job than Baylor as of right now.

Kind of comical that UT even inquired about the Vandy coach.

I was just remarking on your remark about willingness to throw punches with the rest of the SECrant. It's not like we are competitively challenged. We have more to throw punches about than a few other schools right now.

ETA: You have this boundless optimism for Baylor that is actually rather admirable, but Vandy is a better job than Baylor.

Nothing I said about my statement was false. You, Athanatos, and InThroughTheOutDore are the only Vandy fans on here.

Very true. I'm sure that feels weird.

TheRIG,

My apologies for DoreKnocker's comments. I do not know him even though we share the same sympathies.

I did not take your comment as condescending at all. You are correct, Vandy's BB team will not compete with KY this year. However, I was speaking in terms of both the past and future, relative to other SEC teams success vs KY.

Totally understand. If it came off condescending, I apologize.

Carry on good sir.

There is no need to apologize for me. I was reacting at an Auburn fan talking about trash talking on the SECrant. No one thinks Vanderbilt is going to compete with Kentucky, but it doesn't mean we can't throw punches like other schools, or that we aren't competitive. That was my point.

Vanderbilt finally has better athletics than other schools and I am going to make our claim, dammit! This might be our only year.

TheRig: sorry if I got a little saucy. It was meant in good fun.
