be in a different position today?
2. Did we get that NC at any cost , and the cost is the trouble it is now in?

No. Mainly because what would be the alternative?

I have said it before, Chizik put together and held together the team for a perfect storm in 2010. I don't think another coach could have done it with Auburn that year. But the nice guy bullshite that helped keep everyone in tow that year has cost 2 years of undisciplined bullshite after it.
Thank you Gene, i wouldn't trade 2010 for another season but shove your coach speak up your arse as you walk out the door.

I don't think we will ever have a better season than that one. Even if we won another National Championship, it wouldn't be the same. All the close games and drama involved with that season was great.

I would trade the NC for 4 SEC Championships in a row.

No. Or, as the Spanish say...no.

I agree with Niño, solid post.

No.
The condition the program is in now is temporary. We'll be back. We always come back.
The championship? That's ours forever.

I wouldn't trade a decade of 10 win seasons for our NC.

No way..the trip out there was arguably the most fun auburn experience ever, the game was the coup de gras.

No, it was worth it. Plus we are not going to be down long.

No. There are plays from that season that I will remember the rest of my life. Its not even close. Can live through this season, its only temporary.

Exactly.
That season happened to come along at the perfect time for me. I had spent over a year living and working in Houston before, but left Houston and job October 1st. Rented a condo in Orange Beach (parents live in OB as well now) and took off until late December when I moved back to south florida to start a new job in mid-Jan.
Those 3.5 months were so much fun and made unforgettable due in large part to the season we had. I remember where I was every game and watching the Bama and SECCG with my parents at their house and I hadn't been able to watch an AU game with them since the 2004 AU-LSU game at JH when we all had tickets together. My parents are just like me and AU alums and totally hard core about everything AU.
So many great memories from that season. After the Bama and SECCG, I drove from OB over to NOLA and partied all night and celebrated the next few days.
