still a waste of money, but at least it would only be losing $10.

I'd certainly say throwing $10 at this bet isn't a waste of money. The reason you throw that is because its a long shot and $10 is far worth the risk of losing to win $10K.

Yes, you are an idiot.

Someone please explain to me why Stanford would not be a much better pick in this situation

ND loses to USC, Georgia loses to Bama. Florida loses to FSU, K State loses to Texas, Oregon loses to Oregon State. FSU would be the only one loss team other than bama. They'd jump all the higher ranked (now two loss teams). Then they beat Bama in the NC game.

ETA: they'd also have to jump a one loss ND.

Off the top of my head -

ND loses to USC
Georgia loses to Georgia Tech
Alabama loses to Georgia
Florida loses to Florida State
Oregon loses to Oregon State
Kansas State loses to Texas
LSU loses to Arkansas
Stanford loses to UCLA
Texas A&M loses to Missouri
FSU wins the BCSNCG

I think that takes care of everyone in front of them losing.

maybe because Stanford has 2 losses and once FSU beats florida, they will jump them (i know FSU comp. avg. is terrible but they will probably finish with an avg around 10 or so.)

My thoughts:

FSU hammers UF worse than anyone else has this year
Clemson rips USCe apart making the ACC look better
Oregon drops the civil war to OSUw
ND goes to the west coast and drops to USC this weekend

Then, the SEC champ plays FSU....maybe

I think they hop all of 2 loss teams if they beat UF this weekend and win the ACC championship

Probably so, but my scenario would also work and leave no doubt about FSU in the title game. Could happen.
