I know a lot of people will say, "if we can't beat South Carolina, Alabama is gonna kill us". Not so fast my friend. Over time I've come to view that Usce game as the perfect storm against the dawgs. Top 10 night game in Columbia, biggest game ever in WB. It didn't set up well for us at all.

As far as matchups, we definitely matchup better with Alabama than we do South Carolina. Clowney was a nightmare. Murray was looking at him the entire game and couldn't get comfortable. Alabama presents matchups in the middle which are easier to quell. Andrews against Jessie Williams will be really tough and we'll probably double him. Their end rushers don't scare me as much but Theus has to have a good game. He's cut his teeth all year and this is the time to grow up. If we can keep Murray relatively clean, I like our odds in throwing the ball against their secondary which has shown weakness.

Defensively I've never felt more comfortable with our defense than I do now. They are swarming to the ball, wrapping up, and not missing tackles. They're playing great fundamental football and are playing with an attitude. If we can pressure AJ we will win.

Either way I think we play much better than last year and I think the team is determined to erase that arse whooping from LSU.

Our defense has yet to play a 60 minute game at the best peak...we cannot have Bama doing a drive like Florida did at the end and hope for a TO like the Florida game. Murray has to have the game of his career, and he is capable of that. If these 2 things hapen, we win easily. if neither one happens, then it's a crap shoot and the luckiest team wins.

I see UGA coming in as hyped up or even more hyped up than last year's game. I believe our defense will put up similar first half numbers, but what worries me is will Murray ever show up for a big game? If UGA can't capitalize on the opportunities given by the defense, we might be run out of the stadium, but if we do capitalize then we can definitely make a huge statement to get into the NCG.

What surprised me in the A&M upset was the Aggie DL holding their own against an ultra talented Bama OL. Bama was not able to run the ball effectively when they needed to in the clutch which was their ultimate demise, 2 INT's. If our DL and LB's can limit Bama's ground game then I think we have a chance to win. Bama's defense has been exposed to some extent and I think our offense is good enough to take advantage if we can maintain a balanced attack. They will do what most defenses do against us; they will load the box to take away our running game and force Murray to beat them under pressure. Murray will need his best game of the season for us to win. He got away with a mediocre performance vs Florida. That won't cut it against Bama.

I don't think match ups were nearly the problem with USCe than I do just a lack of preparation and poor mindset by the coaches and players, respectively. I think if we played again now it would be a totally different ball game.

I have to say for Alabama I expect much better things. I like the chinks in the armor we have seen lately from them and I think our boys want this shite alot more than they did in Columbia.

Not saying we'll win, but we won't get blown out like that either.

I think you are right on the money...I just hope that if things go bad early, the dawgs don't panic and play for 4 quarters.

Bammer can be had. Murray has to bring his a game though, and I'm not sure he has it in him. OL needs to get off the toilet seat as well.

I absolutely believe we can do it. I just dunno how much I trust in our coaching staff and Murray enough because both are going to have to have the games of their lives. I'd say OL too but they're gonna get shite on either way. I just want enough time to exploit the secondary when Murray's head isn't shoved fully up his own arse. We start doing these hurried up 3 n outs that we loaded up on in Atlanta last year then Georgia is in for one helluva blood letting.

...But if they can stay on the field and give our defense time to knock the queer right out of Mccarron then I'm not just hopeful but I'm confident the dawgs can remain in it and pull it out.

What about our depth issue?

We basically have 65 scholarship athletes once you back out the one-time-walkons and injured players.

I really expect our defense to play well in this game. Like someone said earlier, they are going to be hyped. It's going to be fun and ill be damned if I'm not there to see it in person.

For us to win, Murray can't play like he played against UF. He has to play mistake free for us to have a shot.

not necessarily,he just needs to limit his mistakes imo,I think georgia is gunna load up and make McCarron beat them passing, and Georgia has the defense to stop the run,it's gunna be one heck of a game.

AJM doesn't really scare me in the least bit. He's efficient, but he doesn't strike me as someone to go out and win alabama the game. Although our defense has been lights out for 3 weeks, stopping their run scares me just because of how bad we looked at it early in the year (btw, we're gonna look bad against the run the next 2 weeks but those don't really count). They have a great OL and can make some holes.

I think that similar to last week, we're gonna have to jump on bama early. They're a team meant to eat up clock, run a lot, and play solid defense. They aren't comfortable playing from behind. Our offense might not quite be like aTm, but our defense is better. If we have to force them to pick up the pace that'll favor us.

And of course, I'm worried about Murray. To his credit, he played frickin lights out in last year's SEC for the first half, and it should've led to 24 points. It's not his fault our receivers dropped TDs that hit them in the hands. If he is on like he was then, I really like our odds. If we get hit in the mouth and go down by 2 scores early I'll be extremely worried.

Yeah, I definitely think it's going to come to whether the OL can provide some decent protection and what Murray can do with it if they can. Time to man the frick up.

Yes our offensive line has to play well, but so does Murray. When there is nothing there he has to be willing to throw the ball away and keep us in manageable situations. We cannot take a sack on 1st down and be 2nd and 15 or 20. Sometimes it's not the O-lines fault.

I agree SC was a perfect storm and UGA was not ready. That play on the first drive of the game when the SC receiver ripped away an easy interception from Rambo basically summed up the whole game in one play. SC was ready and up for the game and UGA came out flat and the game slipped away before it even really got started. I just hope their ready for Bama, no excuse not to be and mentally stronger than they were in SC game because once the going got tough they folded in that game.

no i get that and that's why they have to stay on the field. a defensive show down will lead to a bama victory cause theres a lot more good players on the crimson side. we have to be perfectly balance and eat time like aggy
