It happens. We all know this. Texas A&M was better than Alabama on Saturday. As good of a coach Nick Saban is, he's not perfect. Hell...neither was Bear Bryant. Bryant, regarded by many to be the greatest coach to ever walk a sideline, had some stinkers too. In 1968 Alabama got blown out by Missouri, 35-10. In 1969, they got blown out by Auburn, 49-26. In 1970, Alabama got blown out by USC, 42-21. In 1971, Alabama got blown out by Nebraska, 38-6.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to play 100% for four quarters, especially when you are dealing with 18-23 year old kids. So for all of you who say that Saban's lost a step, is not that great of a game day coach, just know that Bryant had some stinkers too.

And it's not like Alabama got blown out. They fought back from a 20-0 deficit and could have won the game in the last 2 minutes if not for shoddy play calling and poor execution. You can't win every game, even though a lot of us would like to think we could.

You usually lose when you get outplayed. Unless, you are LSU, then you just blame the refs.

Funny how every syllable of the OP would have been deemed impossible before the A&M game, as Bama was being compared to a pro team, and they were going to continue their massive decades-long
dynasty by winning 2 NCs in 3 years.

We get it. You lost. It's not that big of a deal. So Alabama is mortal. I'm sure you will all get over it sooner or later.

I can sum this all up:

shite Happens.

Before the season, I picked Bama to go 11-1. A team can be favored to win each game individually, but the odds of winning them all is not in their favor.
