Well of course the coaches aren't gonna say "I plan on getting shitcanned in the next few weeks". I can plan on a lot of things, doesn't make it a reality.

Looks like Chizik is a LIAR. Not an Aubrun man, IMNSHO

He can't tell recruits he was called on the carpet before Vandy and informed lose to Vandy and find a new job. CHizik's gone.

JJ is gone as well, the swimming program dropped out of the top 10 for the first time in 20 years. You will see some MAJOR shakeups at AU's AD, which should be a good thing. No one is happy with the direction of the department.

JJ still pisses me off how he treated the top swimming program in the nation. You have a personal grudge and let that get in the way and hurt the program.

Umm, no.

Chizik, Dooley, John L and the previously announced Joker - all gone for 2013. If Dooley gets the bowl game, he doesn't coach it.....ala Neuheisel.

Hey there's an option. Dan Hawkins to AU. Neuheisel to TN. Gundy to Arky. and Joker to KY (pissing everyone in Louisville off)

I fricking hope not. I put $50 that he wouldn't be [at auburn next season]

...i'll take that bet.

auburn isn't going to pay the 7 million dollar buyout it would take to send chizik walking.

Why not, will cost a lot more to keep him...

The loss of at least 10,000 season tickets at $500 each comes to 5,000,000 x 3 years - 15 million...Plus lost TUF, loss concessions, fewer students, less donations to the University, etc.

Joker and Co. were still telling kids up until almost a week before he was fired that he was going to be coming back. There were even a few that got it broken to them by media.

He "Plans" to be back next year. What is he supposed to say? "I was told I'll be fired after the IB but please come play for AU"

Is that why they cancelled the coaches show?

Somebody was showing Chizik some mercy. To be honest, I don't know why they didn't cancel it way back after the Arky loss.

I thought Marsh left to coach Olympics? Granted, I don't know the whole story behind JJ/Marsh, I just thought coaching Olympians would be jumping to a better job.

Nope, he butted heads with JJ. He is now at Stanford I believe.

I guess that settles that. I wonder what Dooley is planning in Knoxville... I bet he isn't planning on being there. (Dooley's way smarter than Chiz - just sayin')

Swimmac. I don't know the full details but a good friend is a former swimmer and HATES JJ. Supposedly they've raised cash before and had it ready but JJ refused to let it be given to the swimming/diving program, said it would go to the department for him to split up as needed.

Auburn should do what Ole Miss did last year and hit the restart button with a new AD and head football coach. Some trash needs to be taken out in the plains.

It would be nice, but it's not happening. He'll be gone shortly after the Iron Bowl.
